Fun in the Sun!!

Tuesday Jasmine & I went to Jax Beach with my long time friend and her 2 kids. We had a great time. I think we both needed that. Funny thing happened while we were there.....a dog pooped on the beach then the owner of the dog made the girl who was with him stand and watch the poop while he went to his car to get paper towels to pick it up. And she did!!! Of course, by the time he returned the waves had washed most of it away. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!

I guess the dog was having fun in the sun too!

Long Day

Not much happened today. I spent the day with my little girl and my youngest sister just enjoying life. Still trying to create peace on earth..... One smile at a time. You know it is contagious. So remember to be happy so that we can spread happiness to the rest of the world.

Fix it Mommy

Hi my name is Stacie Kirkland and I am a stay at home mom of three year old Jasmine. The love of my life. You know, I thought that I honestly knew what true love was until the Doctor layed that beautiful baby girl in my arms and I gazed into her eyes for the first time. It was a feeling that could never be described with words or pictures.

Jasmine's daddy, my husband, is an over the road truck driver. (OTR) This means that he is sometimes gone for weeks on end. Jasmine and I manage very well with it being just the two of us. But we miss him deeply whenever he's gone. Any way, I have to fix everything whenever he's gone. She found a dead lizard when she was 2 and brought it to me and asked me what was wrong with the lizard. Needless to say I then had to explain to her that he was dead. With eyes wide and a glimmer of hope in her big blue eyes she told me to fix the lizard. "I can't baby", I told her. She then poked out her lips and said, "Daddy will fix the izard when he gets home." I still tear up thinking of that moment, because after all, I'm only Mommy.
